CLUB CHARITY RUNS

Spirit of the Sixties

Details of each run can be found below and please check the calendar for future Charity Runs.

Each run is well supported in terms of entrants and marshals, both of which we really appreciate.

Coast to Coast

SPIRIT OF THE SIXTIES

This year the Spirit Run is organised by Alex Arthur in aid of Yeovil Freewheelers (blood bikes).  The Freewheelers provide a free courier service for local hospitals to deliver free of charge, essentials i.e. blood, scans, etc saving the NHS thousands of pounds a year.

This years run will be held on Sunday 19th May and will start and finish at the Yeovil Rugby Club located on the A37 road to Weymouth, with a lunch stop at the Nothe Fort, Weymouth. Entry to the fort is included in the Entrants fee. Marshals and pillions can enjoy entry at a special rate of £4

This event is again well organised by Richard Brann, it starts at Lyme Regis where bikes are lined up on the promenade for public viewing. The route goes through Dorset and Somerset   with a lunch stop en route and finishes on Minehead Sea Front where presenation of awards takes place. Monies raised are donated to Headway, a local charity supporting people who have suffered serious brain injury
