Welcome to Westland Classic Motorcycle Club
A club for ALL bikers or bike enthusiasts
Whats on this month
I am sorry to have to inform you of the passing away of Keith (Jacko) Jackson, Keith along with Len Crane and myself started this club way back on the 17th January 1984. It came about really because I used to visit Keith and Len at work and quite often got asked to move on, so we decided to have a get together with about 6 of us each month for an evening chatting about bikes, quite a few people heard about our idea and asked if they could join us, so we booked the skittle alley at the Sports Club and to our amazement 92 people turned up, that was the start and here we are 36 years later still chatting.
Keith had a great knowledge and was always good to listen to, he had worked for AMC at Plumstead before coming to Westland. He was very active and attended many shows with some beautiful models and later his pretty little Ducati Sebring.
I,m sure many of you who knew him would all like to spend a few moments to remember Keith, unfortunately in these concerning times it would not be able to attend his service.
Thank you Keith for all the hard work and your enthusiam that you gave to our club and may it be a fitting testament to him that we still have such a happy well supported club.
It is with great regret that we have decided to cancel all club events up to the end of july. This includes club nights, club runs, the Spirit of the Sixties and the Coast to Coast. We will review the situation towards the end of July and make a decision on future events dependant on the Covid 19 situation and government advice. People who have submitted entries or Marshals forms will be advised individually. We may attempt to organise an Allcomers event in early September to support our charities.
This is what happens when the carers aren't watching!
