Spirit of the 60s 8th May 2011
The run took place on a dry but chilly morning with the Ivel Barbarians breakfasts going down well.
This years run took in 3 counties with a coffee stop at West Bay and the lunch stop at the Tiverton Grand Western canal basin.
Some 300 bikes were very warmly welcomed at the canal basin, Mark Baker of Devon CC, Philip Brind of the Tiverton Canal Co and Steve and Penny of the Canal Tea Rooms worked really hard to ensure everyone was parked safely and well fed. The delicious pies at the Ducks Ditty floating cafe and the barbecue at the Tea Rooms went down well with the riders.
The Tiverton team had also worked hard at promoting the event locally and there was a good attendance of interested spectators. An excellent video can be viewed by clicking this link
The return journey followed a beautiful route across the Blackdown hills before returning to the Rugby club and parking up on the first team pitch.
