2012 Charity Runs
Hello Fellow Riders,
Again this year WCMCC are running 3 charity motor cycle runs, Spirit of the Sixties, the Coast to Coast and the Sunflower Run.
We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us on all or any combination of these three events.
As last year we have merged the databases for all three events and this communication provides you with the invitations to the Spirit of the Sixties and the Coast to Coast. The Sunflower is in Sept this year so we have only provided a flyer, (the entry forms will posted/E Mailed to previous entrants later in the year). Please select those you would like to take part in, complete the relevant application form and return it to the person / address on that form.
Spirit of the Sixties. Sunday May 20th for Freewheelers EVS
This event is open to motor bikes made or designed between 1954 and 1976. The route is approximately 120 miles starting at Ivel Barbarians Rugby Club and travelling to Larmer Tree Gardens for the coffee stop then on to Stourhead Gardens for lunch. The return is via Sherborne to the Rugby Club where the prize giving takes place. The entry form and regulations can be downloaded here. Also the marshals entry form can be downloaded here
Coast to Coast. Sunday June 24th for Headway Somerset
This event is open to motor bikes in production up to and including 1972 including Veteran and Vintage. The run starts in Lyme Regis, a coffee stop in the Yeovil area, lunch in the Market Place in the centre of Wells and onto Weston Super Mare, finishing on the Beach Lawns on the sea front. The Sunflower Run Sunday Sept 9th for St Margarets Hospice Somerset
This is the 3rd running of this event sponsored by Total Triumph and is open to ALL motorbikes. The route is from the Yeovil Town Football Club stadium through Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire to Frome for a coffee stop at Nunney Hatch then on via South Somerset back to the Football Club where prize draw winners will be announced, refreshments can also be obtained. When returning entries please ensure you address them to the correct entry secretary, as detailed on the individual forms, together with a C5 SAE for us to send you your final instructions. Please ensure the postage is adequate. We will not be acknowledging receipt of entries but you will be notified if your entry cannot be accepted. If you do not receive your final instructions by 2 weeks before the relevant event please contact the appropriate secretary.
